Lent 19: Warmth

I am really digging this warm weather.  I even got out and ran for the 1st time in many, many months.  It was nice to stretch the legs.  As I warmed up, I could feel the tightness in my calves and my hams.  I started into my trot and the fragility of my bones became apparent.  I felt pain in my foot and my heart raced way to easily.  I could feel that I have gained even more weight.  I will go back tomorrow.  But not before doing my first 2 miles in almost 6 months.  It was great to be out and see others, to pass skaters and cyclists, perhaps stretching their calves for the first time, too.  I spent the evening poring over spiritual autobiographies and realizing that God is not just working on me.  A good day.
